acid resistant capsules

I take my pred around 2 am. If I use these capsules for my pred dose, is that early enough to prevent my morning pain? Or will it take longer for it to get into my system?

I found 2am an ideal time for me. Do you think it works for you?

Yes it seems to help not to have pain when I wake up.

Some people use the acid resistant capsules to take the pred before bed so that its release is delayed to early morning in the same way as the 2am dosing of plain pred but it saves them waking up to take it then.

I think PMRCanada does that.

That’s what I was wondering-if it would take too long to work if I take it at 2 am in the capsules. That would be ideal to take it right before bed.

I take plain pred stuffed into acid resistant capsules at 11pm before I go to bed. The medication is working by 2am.

I found this much easier to do than actually waking up at 2am and taking uncoated, plain pred tablets. Getting up at 2am was challenging in a few ways…..sometimes I would sleep through and not wake up, sometimes I dropped tablets in the dark, and because I had to take my 2am dose with food, sometimes it was difficult to get back to sleep (not to mention disturbing my partner).

Sounds just like me! I tried taking mine last night before bed (10 pm) and I couldn’t go to sleep. The last time I checked the time before dosing off, it was 1:30. Then I woke up at around 5 and never went back to sleep. I don’t know if it was the tramadol my dr wanted me to take for my broken tailbone (3 weeks ago) or the pred. I just started the tramadol yesterday. The pred hadn’t been keeping me awake before last night.
