Hi all....went to Dr's to discuss my blood results.....White cell high, neutrophils high and platelets high....he said quite honestly he has no idea why they are so elevated..... he's referred me to hematology dept to see someone there...just have to wait for appointment......
On a less upsetting note (for me) down to 6mg of pred this week.....
Feeling bit creaky but doing as advised on forum and take a pain killer when needed.....
I will update when referral comes thru...

mine are like that and my rheumatologist links them to the inflammatory disease. I have just had a major flare of GCA and they seemed to elevate even before the flare started.
Hi, My neutrophils, lymocytes, are always raised and have been for years. The last 2 years more so, my doctor has done numerous tests but can't find any reason. I don't drink at all, don't smoke. He wrote to a haematologist at the local hospital about his concerns. That specialist looked back on my records till 2013 and determined I have leukotosis. He put it down to steroid use (asthma inhalers and prednisone) mainly. I just get 6 monthly bloods as check up's. My doctor and a rheumatologist have diagnosed me with fibromyalgia, oestoporosis, bursitis and arthritis on knees and hips.
