Hello all , I have recently reduced to 1.75mg from 2. I have a pill cutter which works fine in cutting 1mg tablets in half and then quarters. Has anyone taken a pill cutter on a plane in hand luggage ? Thanks

I have but it was never challenged. Put it in your suitcase. The worst that could happen is it would be confiscated and they are available pretty much anywhere, unless you are going somewhere very remote. Think of men’s razors.

I've used a pair of nail scissors.

If you need the split tablets on route, you could always cut them in advance. As SJ says, surely there cannot be a problem with having it in your case.

I'm only taking cabin baggage so no case in the hold. I think I will probably cut some in advance just in case

Quick look online gave this response-

Yes, you can bring a pill cutter on a plane in your carry-on luggage as long as it's small enough. Small tools like pill cutters are permitted as long as they're seven inches or less in length. Other small tools that are allowed include screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, nail clippers, and small scissors with blades measuring four inches or less from the pivot point

My gosh a seven inch pill cutter, you could probably do some damage with that, although I am not sure what!

Quite -not not sure that applied to pillcuttes.. unless you’re transporting horses or wild animals😳
