Hi everyone, not sure if you remember I’ve been getting horrendous headaches which went into my left side, rheumi checked and not GCA also MRI ok but now GP diagnosed cluster headaches and gave nose spray. I’ve now got ear pain behind my ear and lost hearing totally in left ear I already have bilateral sensorial hearing loss so this is just another battle. I’m struggling to get in to see GP so hubby is going to try again at 2 pm as this has been going on since Thursday and 112 yesterday gave me 2 hours to be seen by Gp to be assessed sending my surgery an email. Looks like I might have to go and sit for hours at hospital.

If that happened suddenly you need to get to A&E or you are very much at risk of it becoming permanent without treatment. In fact - surprised OOH didn't see you last night.
I’m surprised I couldn’t get in doctors as they are usually good but it’s the receptionist I suppose, if they don’t deem it an emergency which I feel this could be. It’s one thing after another.
A friend called her GP yesterday - her husband is end-of-life care and really nearer the end than the beginning - the receptionist said "20th June". The friend said he was unlikely to be here by then! I assume the receptionist has been told in no uncertain terms to pass on messages - had it been me, I'd have made it clear. In fact, the GP is coming tomorrow so nothing lost really but my friend had to get the hospice nurse to call and there was the downright distress it must have caused.
So wrong, but like you said, the receptionist is just following a script and has no medical experience. I’m only waiting till 2 pm and if I can’t see a GP then I’m going to A& E
Will do I’ve just left a message on rheumatology helpline also just incase as I’ve now got rashes both sides of neck and upper thigh not sure if it’s related
