GP rang me and also said don’t increase pred
The pain is pretty constant but not in shoulders should I increase Pred

If you have erosive arthritis I assume that is some form of inflammatory arthritis? Are they considering adding a DMARD?
It is all very well them saying "don't increase the pred" - but they need to do something about your pain. I have to admit - if it were me I would try a bit more to see if it helped, just to collect evidence.
Disease Modifying AntiRheumatic Drug - they do something to alter the disease process and reduces the erosive effect on the joints. Examples are methotrexate and leflunomide.
