Wishing our runners a fabulous day today in the London Marathon raising valuable funds and awareness for PMR and GCA.

A big thank you to all the sponsors which includes many patients here on our forum, followers on our Facebook page and charity members too, as well as matched funding from EDF.

Both runners have raised an amazing amount of money and they would not have achieved so much without a lot of help from many of you. We are truly grateful for the support.

If you get a chance to watch any of the marathon today, know that these two runners amongst the crowd - Mark, who's running for his mum with PMR, and Graham who's running for his brother with GCA - have raised around £6,000 (including gift aid and EDF funding) so far! This figure may still go up a little as they can be sponsored during and for a short while after the event.

If you haven't sponsored them and would like to - here are their links

Would have been nice to know what their kit is so we could look out for them!! They have indeed done well!

We live on the route at 9 miles & usually go and cheer someone we know who takes part. Bit chilly today so didn’t stay out long and crowds were more than usual. This was the scrum at noon outside our local tube station, which people come to to watch then go back to go further down the route. I have just been told station has had to close due to overcrowding. I’m in now for rest of the day!

I'm doing it the easy way - bit far to London anyway. But it is notably less cold than here - hasn't got to 9C yet! Bit less wind than yesterday though.

Bit warmer here then, 12C now, but wind making it feel colder. Friends who live in Wales have told us it’s rained there everyday for a month. It’s almost time for my daily nap so marathon should be done and dusted by time I wake up.

I think Graham was wearing a green/yellow running top but I don't know about Mark.
