Fundraiser for PMRGCAuk

I found this on Facebook for those of you who do not use it I thought I could share the great work Graham is doing for the charity.

A huge thank you to Graham Callaly who is running the London Marathon in April in support of his brother Tom who has GCA.

Graham and Tom have been running buddies for 40 years, and Tom is a founder member of athletics club, the Rothwell Harriers & AC

Help Graham to raise money to support people with PMR and GCA.

PMR and GCA are linked conditions. Undiagnosed GCA can lead to permanent sight loss. Help us to raise awareness so that no-one loses their sight from this disease.

Graham is already over half way to his target. If you'd like to help him reach it, you can sponsor Graham through his JustGiving page justgiving.com/page/graham-...

Donated. Good to see people contribute to the charity and to raise awareness of our conditions.

It warms my cockles too. I feel an urge to donate when I see people putting so much effort into raising money for our charity.

Thank you everyone who has donated to Graham's London Marathon on behalf of his brother with GCA. I know some of you also donated to another fundraiser, James Robinson who's running on behalf of a family friend who lost her sight due to delayed diagnosis of GCA.

We rely on fundraising and donations to keep our charity going and to be able to support people with PMR/GCA - whether that's through information packs, our helpline, this forum, lobbying for greater access to biologic drugs (tocilizumab), setting up support groups and all sorts of things so we are very grateful for your support. It's also a huge boost to Graham and James knowing that so many people are appreciative of their efforts.
