Now you’ve asked the question, plenty of related posts to view. Many do through bank account, and might be worth looking on comparison web site.
When I had GCA used LV - already have car and house insurance with them .. and no great issue with GCA - more questions on osteoarthritis… to be honest age seem more of a factor!
Just make sure you detail all existing health issues..
..and if you’re recently diagnosed, check with Rheumy if you’d are flying.
We use Saga - will cover all things as long as you have a diagnosis I think - you can do it on line
Staysure added it to our annual policy with minimal fuss, and I think at no additional cost at the time. I don’t think they even asked what medication I was on, as I recall asking them whether they needed to know!
I use Staysure. They are good for pre existing conditions. They also lumped PMR and GCA together. I pointed out I had only been diagnosed with PMR but they said they lump the 2 together, Good luck.
All Clear travel insurance, been using them for 9 years.
I used Moneysupermarket to get quotes. They varied between £140 and £500+. I was able to get full European cover for a year with Aviva for £140. Obviously I had to declare all my conditions but as I've not long had surgery I was pleased with that. Prior to my surgery I was unable to get cover at all!
Staysure, cheaper than many too.
I buy travel insurance for our elderly neighbours, who aren't tech-savvy and have even more pre-existing conditions than we do, using Confused.com. You'd be amazed how reasonable the premiums are. Single-trip policies are usually cheaper than annual ones, presumably because they think retired people can spend months abroad each year.
I have Admiral. It was @ £160 for the year worldwide.
