confused and perturbed

Have been taking enteric coated Pred almost from the outset of PMR with 10 mg Omeprazole as I have hiatus hernia. I am now down to 1mg pred and am trying to reduce reliance on Omeprazole. I have had no problems with taking both. Having read previous posts I’m wondering how things worked. Not complaining! Just bemused. Best wishes to all.

That taking Omeprazole just before enteric coated might impact on efficacy of pred

All taken care of by the titration of the dose - as long as the symptoms are under control, you are getting enough pred. And you have been on the e/c all the time - problems might arise if you are changing from one to the other, otherwise it should be OK

The pharmacist tod me you should leave half an hour between Omeprazole and pred.

I assume you were prescribed the Omeprazole for your hiatus hernia?? So it is best to talk to your doctor about stopping it. In fact a PPI is not really needed if you take enteric coated steroids.
