Mood and sleep disturbance on longterm steroids- useful article, page 1

I’ve only just read this from the latest issue of the PMRGCAUK magazine. I had no idea that steroids can make it hard to regulate mood and feel motivated. A psychologist specialising in the area explains how this happens and suggests ways we might be able to counter those effects.

I can’t find a way of attaching both pages, so I’ll put the second page in another post.

I found both attachments interesting and a number of points chimed with my own personal experience. Thanks for sharing them. Not exactly new information, except maybe impulsive spending - mostly to connect with my grandchildren in Australia, which is a new and unusual behaviour for me. It is put together in a relatable way that I found helpful. We are often asked about the insomnia an mood swings on this site. This maybe worth keeping on FAQs I think we tend to neglect the emotional impact of these diseases, somewhat.
