Still on 3.5mgToe numbness is a bit less but now I'm getting shooting pains in my legs.It feels like fibromyalgia.Im presuming it's another side effect of tapering. The chemist said I could take neurofen so that's what I'm doing. Also monitoring my blood sugar levels. They're not too bad so I don't think it's diabetes related.Has anyone else had sharp pains in their legs when tapering. Also extremely tired.Mind you we have just had an awful tornado go through where I live. That hasn't helped my stress levels. It just came out of the blue.Trees ripped upby there roots.Houses Lost rooves.People homeless.Quite a disaster. Its our summertime here.Usually just bad storms.

Hello. I can’t imagine what that would feel like. That amount of stress would certainly increase your cortisol requirement and for a period of time rather than just a quick shock. Since it is not your everyday occurrence it wouldn’t surprise me if your adrenal glands were caught napping and you get the fatigue and the wobblies a bit. Try to take it easy.
The leg pains, where does the pain start and shoot too? What kind of pain is it? What makes it worse or better? Why do you think it is Fibromyalgia?
I've had muscle pain in the past where the Dr was concerned about blood clots. This is is more of shooting pain like broken glass.Stabbing.I feel it must be fibromyalgia pain as it seems to be in the tissues.
Where is it starting and where is it going to? Or is it stabbing in one spot? If so where? There are a number of issues than can cause this kind of thing so it’s worth having a think at this stage rather than just assuming Fibro and carrying on suffering.
I'm not sure that shooting pain is what fibro causes - @Pixix may be able to enlighten us.
I’ve had no shooting pains in my legs after 15 years of fibromyalgia. I know we are all different, but shooting pains in my body have only occurred when I have nerves trapped. I don’t think there is a sensor point (not right words, brain fog) in the legs. I think the pain is nearly always in the upper torso for me. Doesn’t mean you don’t feel aches & fatige type pain in legs, but acute shooting pains…not something I’ve had with fibromyalgia. Perhaps see a doctor? Especially if just in one leg?
Hi Pain is settling down.Im wondering if it was a reaction to all the yummy cream I've been eating with jelly and fruit since Xmas time.Maybe too much dairy affected my nerves.I have been trying to avoid dairy products since having this inflammatory problem. They usually say to think about what we have been putting in our mouths.
I have pinched nerves in two spinal vertebrae that cause that shooting pain in my right leg. Worth a bit of exploration as steroid epidurals can help.
