what should I expect to possibly happen

I just had my Actemera infusion on January 4th. I am leaving for FLA on the 29th and had hoped to get my infusion before leaving. Since it’s three days early they will not do it due to the insurance possibly not paying for it. I do not get back until Feb 16th and could not get an infusion appointment until the 31st. This will be seven weeks without it? I plan on bringing extra prednisone but I hate the thought that I may have to go back up once again. I can’t belive they can’t make an exception since I am going away. Fingers crossed.

I’m surprised at that. I have had my infusion as much as 3 days earlier with no problem with my insurance. I’ve never gone any more than 3 days ahead. They have also been accommodating to get me in quickly if I’ve been late because of vacations, etc. I’m in Pittsburgh PA and not have had any issues with the infusion center.

I just called. Medicare and they said it does not matter to them when I get it only that it is medically necessary. I just called the doctors office back in hope I can get it before I go. We shall see…
