Appreciating Health Unlocked PMR/GCA

Hi everyone ,l always appreciated Health unlocked and found it very supportive and a way of feeling less isolated after my husband passed away . I loved the interactions and health info about PMR and GCA .and the caring and friendly people who posted on there . I am still taking Prednisolone ,down to 3mg. now . The steroid has helped my asthma as well as the PMR . I am sad to say myself and a couple of other people were dismissed by a fairly new administrator for not keeping to purely health issues ,yet l have noticed people do still sometimes mention activities that are good for their well-being .l think this helps to lighten things up a bit sometimes . Fortunately l managed to stay in touch with the others who left this forum via another site as l feel they are my friends who l care about and l would miss interacting with them . I hope l have not upset any current administrators by posting again here and wish all of you a good outcome health wise and a Happy and blessed Christmas and New Year . I understand if l will not be able to post here again but l know those who do will find as l did the forum a great help in coping with PMR and GCA .

So long as your original question relates to your PMR and/or GCA then it shouldn’t be a problem. We do sometimes wander off the subject within the thread…but it usually veers back to the core question. Much like normal f2f conversation really.

But asking a question that has nothing to do with PMR/GCA may be censored.. but as you implied there are other social media sites more suited to that.

I quite often mention the PMR & GCA Gardening group,

facebook.com/groups/6288051...

not to mention nutrition and wine! I hope I am not in breach of the rules.

Mystery to me - what were they posting about?

Just mostly gardening but there were stories about a bear called Tedsky included in posts about PMR / GCA which l think most found amusing and lightened the mood . The author is a very knowledgeable man who has a book published about PMR . I expect some of you here remember his posts .He no longer mentions Tedsky but keeps us amused on another forum with his humorous posts .

Hi Grants148, I'm going to turn of replies to your post but please do get in touch with me via chat if you have any concerns about how the site is managed. You're very welcome to post on subjects related to PMR and GCA - and sometimes they can be pretty tenuous links - but we do ask people to stay on topic so that the forum remains manageable.
