How can I be so naive, thinking if I had a flare it would tell in my neck and shoulders not in my leg and bum, getting bloods done will see if my E S R is up, was doing sow well was down to 2 but feel it's went up, can't wait for the time that you don't take a flare if you have a trauma don't know when that will be, your doing so well then BAM and your up Sh"creek again and have to buy a new diary AGAIN xx

Just hate this illness.
Bless you! Couldn't agree more, the most illogical of illnesses; CRP better guide than ESR, or are symptoms a better indicator.??........'batsh''' seems to be the 'in' word 👹
Uggh! Sorry! Yes, she ch an insidious illness!
😂🤣😅😅🤣 I do feel for u Harry , but I love the way u put it ! We all need a good laugh!
Quite agree. I’m on 2mg & suffering a flareup right now. Just when I’m so busy (probably why!!) & very behind with Christmas preparations! Mine is primarily in neck & shoulders (but I had 4 car crashes, 3 of which were neck injuries, so that’s a weak point)! But my bursitis has returned (as better due to steroid injection) with a vengeance, & sciatica, too! Oh, & don’t get me started on my plantar fasciitis in heel, so painful to walk! It’s definitely the winter of our discontent!! S x
I have the bum and leg ache which I was told was sciatica but doesn’t want to go away this time!
Hi Harry. It's a roller-coaster ride for sure. Completely unpredictable. I was down to 14.5mg. GP put me back up to 20 for a month. Flaring. Which in hindsight was a good call on her part. At least she's not afraid of Pred like so many providers (my rheumy for one). It was discouraging because 14.5 is where I was prior to a GCA scare and it has taken so long to taper from 60 mg. Hugs to you Harry; you're not alone.
