8 days ago I had this injection at my Rheumatology appointment . Dr thinks I may have inflammatory arthritis /RA so gave me that and wants me to start Sulphasalazine , not ready to make that decision yet . Currently on 6mg oral Pred. I have Tendosynovitis in my right middle finger and this is why he has made this decision .
Question is if anyone has had this injection how did it make you feel … I feel worse !Headaches and nausea mainly .
Incidentally I went to see Prof. Rod Hughs who on examination of my hands doesn’t think I have RA !

I would say that tenosynovitis in ONE finger does NOT a diagnosis of RA make ... FFS! I have had tenosynovitis in more fingers than that for 20 years - still don't have any signs of RA.
And if Rod doesn't think it is - I think I would tend towards his opinion.
The dose delivered to the body falls steadily but slowly over a period of about 4 or 5 weeks for most people. As the dose falls you should feel a bit better. They say the side effects are less - but like everything, depends on the person.
