Vertigo or dizziness?

Just reducing from 6.5mg Pred to 6mg. All seems well but yesterday evening, as I was sitting and reading a book, I started to feel 'out of it' so to speak. A bit dizzy and as though I needed to take a large breath as I had forgotten to breathe. This morning I felt dizzy when I got up in that I wanted to hold on to something all the time. Now I feel a bit 'out of it' while I am typing this but I can turn my head to either side, bend forward and look up without any extra problems. I only feel like this when my head is upright - I didn't seem to feel dizzy in bed which I usually do with vertigo. I have a few floaters in the eyes. Distance view seems fine, close view OK but I need reading glasses these days. I've tried the Epley Manoeuvre but no difference so far. Wondering if this could be related to the reduction in Pred? Any advice much appreciated.

BTW - I have a sort of blocked or full feeling between the ears. Nothing much, but have tried yawning and holding my nose and blowing which you feel might clear it.

So, last week some sort of gastric problem which seems to have resolved and this week something else .... it feels like there's no end to things at the moment.

If it were me I think I would want it checked out - pessimistic me feels compelled to mention such symptoms CAN be due to a stroke or TIA.

Have you tried chewing gum or something to try and clear the ears feeling?

Getting a GP appointment ... I can try. Just checked BP and that seems OK. Just tried the nose blowing and swallowing and yawning. Will give it a while and see if it settles.

If you were to call and mention concern about a stroke, it would be a brave receptionist who refused an emergency appointment or told you to call 999!!
