one step forward……..

just to complete the replacement of my right side joints I’m down for a reverse shoulder replacement in 6 months - strikes permitting!

New shoulder will complement replaced knee and hip.

But the irony for me was when she asked how many mgs of prednisone. I am currently on and I expected at least a tuttut at my admitting to 4mg but she actually said that level can only assist with pain level from my shoulder!

So unusual to get some empathy.

I’m also currently waiting on an X-ray of the metal hip to try to find out why I’m getting such annoying pain from my right buttock.

As for the recurring UTIs the pessaries are actually making a difference

Welcome to the club -although mine aren’t all one side -hip is opposite.

Can I ask why shoulder is reverse replacement?

Good luck and hope you can get your hip/buttock sorted…

Apparently the tendons are beyond repair.

Thanks for the good wishes for my buttock !

At the moment I can’t decide which is more painful between my shoulder and buttock but I’ve found out that donut cushions aren’t the answer!

Even funnier was the fact that the locum GP had had the very same complaint for several years and she had an assortment of donut cushions which she had placed in various strategic locations 😂
