update, suspected kidney stones
Sounds more likely - they can be agonising,
never had muscle spasm before!
Ended up with paramedics coming out and taking me to hospital - continuous severe pain spasms. The doctor and consultant reckon it was caused by me lifting 15 x 20kg bags of dog food which were delivered some 2 weeks earlier. I believe that maybe PMR played a part, because this is the first time I’ve lifted such weight since before having PMR, I was careful as always - your thoughts PMRpro appreciated.
Aye well - a very sensible diagnosis on the part ot the medics!!!! Part of PMR can be myofascial pain syndrome - and THAT is typical. We don't issue warnings about you having a new normal for nothing you know!!! We hope to save you this agony but often no-one believes us until they experience it!
I've had something similar - and I hadn't been hauling dog food about!
Quite worrying what else is around the corners of PMR - I sincerely hope this is NOT myofascial Syndrome, just read about it 😳
One thing this has taught me is “I have a new normal” 🙄
thank you for being here and so informative and supportive. This PMR journey is full of twists and turns with plenty of bumps and hollows.
