Ankle Fusion wahey

i am in hospital after an an ankle fusion yesterday. Great fun. Lovely nurses 🤪 just going home. And I've had my second Oxy pill. Oh my!

Do watch Painkiller if you have Netflix. It's evil big pharma and so on. This was going on when I was living in California.... Awful sights...

9mg and I'm doing ok. Weight down to 69kg with height at 5' 8'. I'm happy with that.

Had a heart scan two days ago and no problems. I'm a lucky chap

I had an ankle fusion about 8 yrs ago. Good stuff for me, no significant pain or dysfunction.

The only thing I cannot squat with both heels down, one of my favorite gardening positions…i “got over that”.

And the ankle looks ugly, big and bony from the osteoarthritis. So what? The foot works well again, and pain insignificant. Success for yountoo.

Good stuff Kaaswinkel I had the right one fused five years ago and it is great now. and, as you say I can't squat too much anyway so hey ho.

Two weeks after and I've been struggling in recovery mode! If it wasn't for my dear wife I'd be lost!

I had my plaster cast removed on Thursday and my oh my that kicked off a lot of pain. I have a walking frame now as it makes me think a bit more about what I'm doing and makes me slow down.

I've been having ankle and knee surgeries for 18 years now... It led to me leaving America as it was so boring staying in and not doing anything

The two big scars are from a ankle surgery I had in Walnut Creek, California in 2005

I have to say my surgeon in California was very very professional and a nice man. The staff tried but are nowhere near as attentive and caring as our nursing staff. Nowhere. And our health insurance company paid a bedazzling amount of $$$$ for that surgery. Our co-pay was about $60 and for that I wasn't complaining. The op was for a heel shift and raise the arch or whatever is similar to that

This was just after I had the stitches removed. Quite gross i think :/ I did have fun though. I was absolutely exhausted as it was the first time outside for two weeks.
