has anyone tried red light therapy for PMR pain? I have found some relief with it, although I think the pain comes back and in different places.

Red light therapy for PMR pain?
I've used infrared cabins a couple of times - can't say it made any difference at all.
After watching MedCram on YouTube, I am making sure to get outside in my clothing to reap benefits of near infrared light. If you can feel the warmth of the sun, the near infrared is penetrating your entire body, sight unseen. It penetrates green leaf canopies too, so sitting in a shady park is also beneficial. He points out that sunlight is a basic human nutrient.
What device do you use? My osteo lent me a strap on device to see if it would help with my tendon problems (pre PMR). It didn't help but i am thinking of investing in one as a long term strategy to help healing over time, rather than as a short term intervention.
I use a near infrared sauna lamp inside an enclosure (creating a full-on sweating sauna) and find it extremely relaxing and beneficial. For me, it seems to relieve pain and inflammation, if only temporarily - but the relaxing effect is very noticeable. Just be sure to wear protective eyewear.
