I was truly convinced that I had taken my 4.5 mg ec coated Prednisolone last night at 23:00 but was feeling a bit rubbish all day at work. By chance I checked my dossette box when home and found I hadn’t taken it at all. I was convinced I had taken it. No wonder I was feeling unwell. I took the 4.5 mg at immediately at 18:30 it will take a while to work.
My question is, ‘ should I take 4.5mg again at 23:00hrs or wait until the next day and space it out?

Personally I would take it at my normal time. I have done this on long haul flights with no negative effects. I would be concerned about triggering a flare if I started messing about with the times.

An awful lot of us have done the same as you. I just take the tablets as soon as I realise, then just carry on with my normal regime. So just take the normal dose at 23:00.
Thank you Piglette. My instincts felt that this would be the right thing to do...it’s just the dosages seemed so close together. I will do this 😀
Maybe take just part of tonight's dose? Say the 2.5mg part since I assume you take 2.5 plus 2x1mg?
Hello PMRpro. Yes that’s how I take Pred. Can I just ask.... do you think 2.5mg at 23:00 hrs is enough and 4.5 too much? Should I take the extra 2mg later the next morning /day to top up before returning to normal the following night? Thank you 
You've only just taken last night's dose, if it were me I'd take 2,5mg. But if you take 4,5mg you'll just have a cracking day tomorrow!
so 2.5 at 23:00hrs and just forget about the other 2mg completely?
That is what I'd do - but as I say, if you take the whole normal dose you'll just have a good day tomorrow, you'll have wings ...
