I have had plenty of local anaesthetic injections for dental treatment. Previously I used to get adrenaline-free injections as the ones with adrenaline made me quite unwell. But to be honest - I never thought to ask about the LA the last time so it could have been either! I did have fillings done without anaesthetic for years until a dentist identified what the problem had been previously. It isn't the end of the world but it can be very uncomfortable at times. I doubt there is a problem but speak to the dentist before they start.

My dentist, also a medical doctor, keeps a record of all patients medicines which I find reassuring.

I, like PMRpro found the adrenaline injections made me feel quite unwell too, and I wasn’t on any medicines in the days when I had them.

I’ve had loads of injections since having PMR and on MTX with no problem at all. Some of them do have an unpleasant taste for which he apologises, but I’d rather that than any pain!!

You’ll be fine! 🌸
