I’m considering split dosing to see if that eases the morning pain but wondered if I need to take Omeprozole before the evening dose as well as the morning dose?

Probably not if you have been taking a PPI before - after a short time the effect lasts a full 24 hours and a second dose is only required if you have severe problems.

Hi, I have split my dose for several years now and only ever taken Omeprazole with the larger dose first thing in the morning, as well as Kefir. I take my small bedtime dose with water because I have food in my stomach. It works well for me.
