Can't speak for beer - don't like it - but with PMR years ago pre-pred, the best part of the day was after a glass of wine in the evening!!

I find red wine has the same effect on me. In fact it makes me feel on top of the world!

Nice idea. When I was having children, we were all told to drink Guinness every day because of the B vitamins. The problem would be all those carbs!

Could it be because you have had a better night's sleep?

Sorry to be disagreeable, but you should know that the wondrous effects of alcohol are but transitory and the harmful effects more long-lasting. Drinking alcohol may help some people sleep but is generally detrimental to sleep health, as any scientific study will indicate. There again, the other half of my brain says "a little of what you fancy does you good", especially if it sorts outs your arthritic hands. 😉

Tried rubbing alcohol? 😁

Pre pred only thing that worked was rum or strong beer! Don’t drink now cos think pred can affect digestive tract and alcohol not a good mix

Recommend Flexiseq. Been using for one week and all knee pain disappeared. The red wine helps too! 🍷

hi, is it the max strength Flexiseq you've ordered?

Yes, read info and decided to start with max one and possibly lower to normal one as maintenance. Hope it works for you

I struggle with drinking red wine. Years ago I told my oncologist I quit. He was truly surprised and said”but you love red wine!” You need to keep doing what you love. Now, a few days a week I will have a small glass of Pino Noir. Here’s to loving life!

I think that in this respect PMR is a bit like a lot of life, what works for and suits one person doesn't necessarily work for or suit someone else. The secret is to find what works for you and helps to make your life better. You do have to take care though, that a short term gain doesn't lead to longer lasting problems.
