Hello everyone, here I go again. I am currently on 8mg pred for PMR. Unfortunately I have come down with a really bad case of either food poisoning or norovirus, which I am still recovering from. Managed to take my pred on empty stomach which I know is a no no! What option do I have if I can't keep anything down? Any one else been in this position? Advice would be very much appreciated.

A few doses of pred on an empty stomach is unlikely to cause too much trouble. If it is norovirus it shouldn't last long. But if you can't keep it down for an hour, the GP should give you an injection. If you feel really unwell having not kept it down you could try 999 but that isn't a guarantee these days.
