Advice Please

Flu jab two weeks ago resulted in a flare so upped from 2mg to 5 mg. Back now to 3 mg. I dont wake up in the morning with any pain but have various twinges through the day. Only last a short time. Still fatigued though. Im loath to up my pred but am wary of a build up to a major flare. Im waiting for iron infusion as my blood test showed it had fallen to below 100.. Any advice would be gratefully received. 🌺🌺

I think you need to wait it out - at least until the anaemia has been dealt with as that alone could cause the fatigue. As long as the pains don't get worse I would stay where you are. Prof Dasgupta (former GCA specialist in Southend and patron of the charity) told us a couple of years ago he often keeps patients at 2-3mg longer term to reduce the risk of relapses/flares

The fatigue could be due to the adrenal glands, in which case it is probably a good idea not to increase and allow them to become lazy again!
