Out of interest, has anyone been on this strict diet to help with inflammatory deceases?

Gluten, Dairy and Sugar Free Diet
There really isn't a lot of evidence that such a strict diet achieves a lot except sometimes nutritional deficiencies. We have coeliac members who developed PMR despite strict gluten-free diets. As long as you don't frequent the free-from aisle (gluten-free baked goods are very carb and calorie dense) gluten-free does reduce your carb intake and that is beneficial quite often with regard to weight gain on pred and developing steroid-induced diabetes.
For most people there is something that will trigger symptoms - it might be sugar and simple carbs or it might be alcohol. But it does tend to vary - as in everything in PMR, everyone is different!
I gave up gluten and simple carbs, but not dairy, as I was told it would stop me getting a moon face. Amazingly it did work, I cannot guarantee it was the diet though.
Most of the time😂I do have very low carbs, no sugar and have given up the majority of my dairy. I just have a spoonful of yoghurt and two cups of coffee with milk per day. I must say that I think it has helped with inflammation or may be just a coincidence I don’t know. 💐
I tried, but it had little or no effect. I think it also depends on you nutritional state to start with. If you eat a lot of carps, og processed food you may benefit your overall health more if you stop, but it you already eat healthy then I don´t think there will be much to gain on a strict diet.
