Internal Bleeding - update on wife

Update on my wife’s condition. Hi everyone – well, it has been quite a month, but we’ve made progress. My wife got an endoscopy to see the cause and extent of her internal bleeding. The doctor determined that the Prednisone was not the cause but some baby aspirin she had been using in conjunction with other meds. So, she is finally working with her rheumatologist, who is now prescribing Prednisone.

That’s a blessing they found the cause. Aspirin doesn’t agree with everyone me included. Best wishes.

Glad they have found the cause. It is because of this that low dose aspirin is no longer included in the recommendations for managing GCA. It was removed in the last iteration of the BSR guidelines.
