having recently had a UTI,and not reacted well to antibiotics,I was directed to some videos on the net regarding 'double voiding ' when emptying your bladder. I had never heard of this before and it really helps ...just flagging it up if it is useful....🤔

Yes it does! I had umpteen renal infections last year, urethral stent, renal stones and abx- leading to their fragmentation and removal. It was the nurse practitioner who told me about this. I have practised it ever since!
What is double voiding, please explain , I feel it would be useful to me thanks
2 urinate again 10 to 20 seconds after your first attempt (if you're unable to empty your bladder completely first time); this is called double voiding and helps empty the bladder more efficiently”
The idea I believe is to try to prevent urine infections and/or the formation of bladder stones…..
Sorry...but if you Google double void it should come up ..she is Australian...but I will look for a link...it is Michele Kenway 'how to empty your bladder' ...video, also one for men....all fully clothed thankfully 😉
I've just watched this, thank you for posting. Interestingly the lady mentions turning on a tap in order to 'go'. This is how I was potty trained as a child, the result being that now whenever I hear a tap running I have to 'go' no matter where I am!
No - the comment is addressed to Temoral - but there comes a point in an internal thread where it resets to the left and doesn't actually say who it is for! I forgot ... Only Temoral can insert anything into the original post - or and administrator and its the weekend.
Explained this the other day to someone -if the reply has just the sender’s name then it’s directed at the originator. .If it has the sender’s name plus a greyed out reply icon and another member’s name then it’s a reply to someone other than the original poster. Although the originator can see all replies…
