Problem with Liking a Post

Why am I having a problem liking a post. I press like and it goes to unlike.It doesn’t register as another like.

This new format is not as user friendly as the previous one.

Have you looked at the box after you remove the cursor from over it? Or are you using a phone and fingers (which I have no idea about!). However, when I click on Like it changes to Unlike until I move away from the box - when it changes to Like with a number in brackets after it showing how many likes there have been. If you click on it again while it says Unlike nothing will register or the number will then change down one if you had already Liked it. Does that make sense?

I know, though, that Sheffield Jane has a similar problem.

I have had the problem on and off, for me I have to try the "like'" if it dosen't register I go to "more" just under reply and it works.......very odd....

It happens to me on the iPhone 📱 bit of a pain really, because it’s like an acknowledgement that you’ve read it, even if you don’t actually have a comment.

The previous system worked better on the IPhone.It was more user friendly.

If it’s gone to ‘unlike’ - it has been activated, so just leave it. Sometimes it’s takes longer to show on screen than others. It’s a toggle button, so if you hit it again it will remove your ‘like’.

If you keep tapping it - it will get a headache - and you know what that means 🤦🏻‍♀️😂🤣😳

If you tap like it will change to unlike. That gives you a chance to change your mind and unlike it...does that make sense?

It also can be slow. So tap once and wait. Usually it will change within seconds, but generally it's not instant.

Think of it as offering an option to either like it or unlike it. So if you’ve liked it, it’s offering the option to unlike it. I know, it’s more reassuring to see the number go up.

I have a similar issue but only with a new post. Once others have liked it, then I can. Really I have tried all your suggestions. Now I do a little liking post. Some people really value their likes. I forget to look. Probably why I still bore on. 😂

That’s what I was doing, where before I liked posts.

I just managed to ‘like it’ but not straight forward I hovered and kept trying but nothing happened then suddenly the figure increased - acceptance! For a while now I thought the system had been putting a like in for me! as previously it only unliked if I’d already liked it!!!!

I did the same thing but I never got the like number to change.Now, I wait and It does change in a little while.
