Is this a flare

Hi all thought I’d update you on my post is this a flare!!!!

As no painkillers helped just wondered if I was having a flare but thank goodness no I’m not.

I’ve had an MRI and found a disc pressing on a nerve but requires no surgery at the moment.

however my ESR was raised as was my CRP. Have been in hospital for three days and slowly winning the fight. Thank you all for your input. I will remain on my 3.5 mgs prednisolone.

ohhhh one thing that came out of this the doctor wrot me up for only one mg prednisolone…… I said no it has to be 3.5. Wasn’t for budging from her decision. I told them I’ll self medicate. Spoke to the pharmacist and he listened to me and I felt he wasn’t to sympathetic to me but he at least listened he said ok 😳 but still wanted me to reduce 😳any way. I’ll do it my way🎼🎼

Neither obviously realise the implications of reducing that much on small doses and long time user of Pred….

2.5mg change sounds nothing, but as we know it can make a lot of difference to PMR and adrenals…..

That's a positive at least!!!

As for the pred - what use would 1mg have been if you are currently on 3.5mg??? Language, PMRpro, language ...
