my PMR the first year, before being diagnosed, was especially painful in my R arm. I’ve been off prednisone since 1 July. I contacted Covid for the second time since then and I’m probably overdue as it is garden time and I have lots of produce to preserve. But I’m noticing my right arm is becoming more painful. I’ve read other posts in the past few months eluding that sometimes going back on prednisone at the last level you were can be helpful. I’m wondering if I should take one or 2 mg see if that helps with it. If I should try this should it be for a month or so?

Only one way to find out! Certainly if you mean July 2022 that is a very common timescale for inflammation to build up enough to be noticed.

Ditto to PMRpro’s comments,….
You didn’t say where the pain was in your arm but I have developed tennis elbow curtesy of pred My physio and doctor say it’s due to the steroid effecting my tendons
I think they are pushing it to say the pred CAUSED it. Repeated injections are not good for tendons and long term pred probably doesn't do them any good -and they may contribute to the problems once something happens. But CAUSE?????
