help.: still this tingling in my hands, got it in... - PMRGCAuk
help.
It is a hassle. It puts us all off. Take a deep breath, sit down with the phone at GP’s opening time and dial every two seconds until you get an answer. There are a number of things your symptoms could point to. All of which need a medical opinion.
Does your GP surgery have the eConsult facility -see here to check if you don’t know -econsult.net/nhs-patients
They have to reply within a certain timescale.
Thank you will try and find out,I know you not drs.sorry.
Never apologise to us -we help when we can, but don’t always know the answers by any means. But on this one you do need doctors input -hopefully you will get it.
I have throbbing feet and knees! Hot! Particularly at night. Gp thought it was referred pain from arthritis in lower back .. and gave me some strong painkillers to help my nights!! No tingling in hands. As to doctors appointments.. I have found getting up and arriving at surgery opening time I can usually get an appointment that day ! But all different I know!
I have the same for a few months now and to add my legs feel as tho they are on fire. Had numerous tests and all come back normal except for the nerve damage in my feet
Can you email them and they can phone back to talk to you.I do this, send a nice little list and sign off "thank you for helping me etc"I find it easy to get through the anxiety of approaching the doctor and I can take time to write a concise sensible email.By the way,you never waste their time , they would rather re consulted about your concerns than not.A lot of n.h.s. time now is spent on catching up with peoples problems that were neglected during the pandemic as patients avoided contacting their g.p. So go ahead, you and your concerns matter! best wishes and never say sorry!!
Strangely I ve been having the same problem aft my flare last week.Hands I think is carpal tunnel with inflammation.Legs iam thinking it's because my thighs swell when I have a relapse.Let me know how you make out!!!
I have been getting tingling in my hands, feet and legs lately. My doctor thinks it's because of low b12. I did a private active b12 test and it was low.
How do you do a B12 test.
You can ask your gp about doing one but apparently their test can be unreliable, might be worth doing though first. My gp said my results were fine at 294 even though that is within the borderline range. But I had done an active b12 test with medicheck which you can order a kit online to do and they test just active b12 which counts and mine was low so my gp agreed to do a trial now of three injections to see if it helps.
