so I obviously have PMR - tapering for the 4th time and currently alternating between 7mg /8mg.
Good news- within the last fortnight I have been awarded attendance allowance and the blue badge. ( you will probably all know that these applications require plenty of homework/ proof of eligibility. And don’t just happen as my OH seems to think)
Bad news - I am day 4 into Covid but I have my antivirals to keep me company.. I have overnight developed a horrible eye infection , I feel shattered but can’t relax. And the dog needs a walk. I have no family nearby and even so I wouldn’t want them to know how things really are. Stiff upper lip and all that.
My waste of space OH decided last night that he needs a break so took our car to Norfolk.
I hope I haven’t spoiled your morning but I did so need to off load 😷😞

I wish I lived near by and then I could pop round and give you a wave through the window and a bunch of flowers. Having covid is just one more thing to deal with, but glad you have got AA. Spend it on yourself to make your life easier as that is what it is for.
Poor you! I hope your OH isn’t exporting Covid to Norfolk along with himself and your car. Not a very responsible attitude, and who does he think is going to look after you now you are even more ill than ever! Grr!!Dogs can cope without a walk every day- just kick him out the back door into the garden for a bit.
The Blue Badge is something I tried to get, but my Local Authority seems to think PMR doesn’t qualify as being severe enough for granting one. You must have a way with words. Perhaps having AA triggers the relevant levers.
Look after yourself- I hope the Covid is very mild. The antivirals should help.
I hope you are seeking medical help for your eyes? Speechless at the behaviour of your OH! Deserting you in your hour of need! Doing a Cummings and spreading Covid in Norfolk! Karma will 'bless' him with a horrid time? 🤞
So sorry to hear you are having a bad time but well done for getting your AA and blue badge. I am wondering if there is a volunteer dog walker in your area but even so with you having Covid it would be difficult: hopefully this will clear up soon. The eye infection is a nasty add-on.Please let your local council know if you need a food shop.
I'm not usually vindictive but I hope your OH has a miserable time in Norfolk 😉 and remember, it's good to vent.
So sorry Annie - men really can choose their moments can't they!
In the meantime - train the dog to greet OH when he deigns to return. I'll leave how up to your imagination ... And how about changing the locks?
PS - I had a friend who used to sit on the children's swing in the garden and the dog raced round in circles as long as she was there - very useful when unwell.
My daughter walked her dog with Covid - wore a mask and avoided humans.
Sometimes my OH doesn't "get it"....but I soon tell him what for....I live in Norfolk so if your OH wants to come to my door...boy can I vent!!...Take it easy, he could have walked the dog first!....
Oh AnniesRyder5, what an absolutely horrible day! Sending you love and hugs and I hope you find that kernel of unbreakable strength that you know you’ve got. Mine only appears on days like these. Get better, then get even. Also, hard as it is, share with your family, that’s what they are for. Xxx
Dear annie, I hope your eyes are getting better now, or that you at least have some treatment for them. When your OH returns, you should be exceedingly sweet to him. This is known as 'heaping coals on your enemy's head'. 🤣
Morning AR5, so sorry to read of your present predicament. Storing up stress is certainly not good for you or your PMR and one of the many great things of this site is that everyone here understands the need for a good rant on occasions. Good news re the BB and AA, will make life a lot easier (when you can get out again). Can't help practically I'm afraid. If you are up to it, wearing a mask and walking the dog very early in the morning and/or very late at night could be an option, if not the garden (assuming you have one) will serve perfectly well for a short time. Think PMRpro's thoughts about OH and your dog are eminently suitable. Keep that eye infection under close scrutiny and get further medical advice if worried.
Sorry to hear your bad news but really pleased for you regarding blue badge:)Hopefully OH will be back soon and apologise for his ridiculous behaviour. As said by others you can walk dog if you feel up to it as there is no actual requirement to self isolate which is probably why covid has been spread so much but personally I would keep away from others and definitely wear a mask. If not have you got a garden?
I too had a waste of space o/h , after surgery for spinal stenosis, two lots of kidney stones, pelvic floor prolapse, outy haemorraroid I left. My divorce was finalised last November at the age of 76yrs.
