Probably won’t do it much good! Extremes of weather aren’t good for anyone with an chronic illness -what in particular are you concerned about ?

Hi,My opinion: any extreme will stress your body which in turn alerts your immune system to come to attention which then provokes autoimmune disease. So, extreme heat, exercise, sugar intake, stress, anger, etc..

Any stresses possibly can. But you can minimise it by not going out in the heat during the afternoon, not having doors and windows open except in the early morning then closing them and drawing the curtains/blinds.

My sister has multiple schlerosis(sp) and she is affected by heat. She wears a cooling vest in the summer.

I actually feel better in the heat, but do retreat to the house before it gets very hot after lunch. I find even sitting in the shade of my apple tree it is to hot outside. I have a lie down with the Archers and the afternoon play on radio 4. I usually miss the end of the play by falling asleep. It's very pleasant and l feel lucky that l don't have to work so much. I have also got an electric fan out for the next few days pm bout of r and r. Ooh just remembered l also have some nice cherries as well. Bless summer😎👍😊

Great relaxed lifestyle! I have just been for a walk before it gets too hot and stood for a while under an oak providing lovely shade.

Nothing like an oak tree for lifting ones spirits🤗

I try to be upbeat most of the time but these autoimmune illness and the related drugs can take us to some dark and dismal places at times

Hit a note … retire to the swinging settee with the Archers, by the apple tree, and touché for the ‘fall asleep’ with the afternoon play …
