IMAb for PMR

Covid confirmed despite care with meeting others etc. I’ve been offered and accepted an iMAb infusion at the local hospital later today. Has anyone any experience of it?

Getting Covid! Seems difficult to avoid now though - I really don't want to test my vaccines!!

I had been SO careful - still wearing masks on public transport etc. But working as an academic met students /faculty in London with present university policy not to wear masks. Caution blown to the wind…

... and sheer stupidity if you ask me! I'm beginning to feel less paranoid about wearing a mask all the time but still carry one with me and make use of it. Numbers are rising here and I did hear talk about mask use being brought back. You must wear one on public transport and the hospital. I said the other day - got on the train and as I passed her a woman pulled her mask off her face to have a good coughing fit! Without a tissue in front of her face. What good was that?

Yes, it’s crazy how ‘life as normal’ is hurtling us into a huge rise in cases. Where will it go I wonder? No appetite for more mask wearing/ further lockdowns …

Should never have been suggested "life as normal" was the same as "living with Covid" - living with it means accepting non-pharmaceutical measures too. Even here at 30C day in day out I don't have a problem wearing a mask to go shopping for example. I do get antsy about people crowding me - especially if they are coughing a lot!!!!

I had an infusion at the hospital when I was diagnosed with Covid. Not sure which antiviral it was but it was a simple procedure and I had no after-effects. Jan.

Good morning, I caught Covid despite having my 5th jab. I was offered the infusion at my local hospital. I had no side effects and recovered from Covid within 7 days. Without it who knows what would have happened. Good luck.

Yes it’s a difficult one not knowing what MIGHT be in store but I’m glad I took the decision to go ahead. Will report back if any issues.
