Taper is slowed down...that's OK~!

Last week was busy with every blooming specialist I have! I finally got down to 10 mg with no visual issues, but you know I'm in no race to zero. The neuro-ophthlmologist told me I had another small blind spot in my good eye. I questioned him because I could see better if I tipped my head at different angles. He communicated with the rheumy and instead of 1mg per month we are going to try one every six weeks. I'm a bit bummed about my vision but I think I've long been resigned that I may not have a great outcome. I feel very fortunate to have the team I do and I feel certain I'll have the best end result possible.

....another positive, I have an appointment with a new internist and am dumping the dude that keeps saying, "I believe Marilyn's symptoms are psychosomatic." Really, I'd like to give him a knuckle sandwich and tell him his pain is 'in his head'. Onward!

This is some of my glasses....😊😉😂

You'd hear the phrase 'knuckle sandwich' a lot in Yorkshire.... although I don't think it originates from there.I heard my grandfather use that term, and my dad used to tease my sister and I when we were being mischievous by threatening us (humorously of course) with a knuckle sandwich.

Us yanks have been using that term as long as I can remember!!

Fingers crossed about the sight Grammy but so love your attitude and wishes regarding Marilyn. That sentence is going to keep me amused for a while. Hugs and best wishes.

Grammy, you probably don't realise how much of a tonic is your sense of humour! xxPS. Good luck with the new intern....or should I be wishing him good luck? 🤔

Your concerns regarding your eyesight must be really worrying Grammy, but your stoic attitude to all life throws at you is inspirational. I love your sense of humour and you've started my day with laughter.... and woe betide any 'dude' who gets in your way!!😄

Good luck with the new internist and keep on smiling. Xx

You made me laugh with knuckle sandwich - used to hear it when I was a youngster in Yorkshire. Keep with the humour and hope all goes well going forward. 🌺
