Hello. Well, could be a lot worse given you started on 80mg and unless I’ve missed something, they aren’t too bad in the grand scheme of things. You are on low dose now so like me, your bones have been hammered during the high doses but you are on low enough doses to make good efforts to bone build worth it. All is not lost. My numbers were worse than yours and I’m still ok as long as I don’t ever go back to high doses. I had my ovaries removed aged 41 in 2005 and I had lost 10% before I started Pred in 2017. Four years after start of Pred 60mg I had lost 3% more. It’s prob wise to learn about all things bones and not just rely on pills. Even the types of exercises are important apparently according to my go to book, Bones by Lara Pizzorno.

Yes, lifting dead weights is supposed to work, but I'm lazy.

You could wear one of those leaded jackets or make your own by adding weights of some sort!

Dead weights would kill me. I’ve got a weighted vest and do the exercises in the book.

Now trying to decide which of her books to get, "Healthy Bones Healthy You" or "Your Bones: How You Can Prevent Osteoporosis and Have Strong Bones for Life Naturally".

Update: Oh what the heck, I ordered both, can't go wrong for $36.

Can you get a Used copy?

I think there was one for about $5, but had a bad experience once buying a used book online. I go with new paperbacks or sometimes audiobook. I have a subscription with Audible as well as a Kindle App.

I buy virtually all my books secondhand, on-line. There is the odd time one could been in better condition, but normally they are like new. They usually cost around sux dollars or so including postage, although sometimes I lash out.

those numbers are not bad at all. are they even in osteoporosis range????? osteopenia?? good for you. I am in -2.7 and went to -3.0.. which is much scarier. however look at what yours says 8% of fracture. that is 92% chance of NOT having a fracture. Heck 92% GREAT odds! don't worry. I am not worried. I have not yet broken a bone and fell in a car crash with my bike (got PMR but no break) fell playing volleyball a year later (got costochondritis but no break) Fell walking my grandson's scooter because I thought I should not risk riding any more (bruised hip and knee and elbow but no break! ) so perhaps my bones are thin but willowy! Try not to worry. do weight bearing exercise. tap dance! Note: balance is good. those were just crazy accidents!!! 75. Pred. 4 years.
