I don’t believe it is. A friend got this in a letter
If they are asking for money, it is!
No no personal details asked for in my email
Thanks everyone, I've not been asked for anything so mine isn't a scam. I'll ask my friend about hers
I got the unheralded parcel today containing the wherewithal to do a PCR test and send it off if I have Covid symptoms and a leaflet about the two drugs I will be offered because I am clinically vulnerable. The nicest thing I’ve got during the pandemic, totally unexpected. I feel like I am on nobody’s special list. Then this comes.
That's a bit unfair on Sarah!!!!!! I bet she has a little list ...
Feel just like you, SJ. The test kit arrived yesterday, soon after the initial letter. It gave me a real lift! Someone cares after all! and, what's more is efficient enough to do something about it! We complain ceaselessly about the flaws in the system, being ignored, etc etc, so hurray hurray for this initiative.
A great Christmas present, mine hasn't arrived yet, but I can tell Margaret it's definitely not a scam!
I'm sure it's not a scam. No money or details asked for and the letter quotes my name and NHS number.
My PCR test arrived today after email from NHS so it’s not a scam . As far as I know it’s so that if we get symptoms we don’t have wait to get PCR test . We send off straightaway so if positive result then they contact re the new medication released for NHS to use against Covid . At least that is my understanding if this helps 😊
My wife received a PCR test yesterday, but no accompanying literature or email so far . It is specifically for her
I received the PCR kit 2 days ago. It's not a scam and you just need to keep the PCR in case of symptoms.
I got the letter yesterday. Guess they want to keep us out of hospital
Hi
I got an email and thought how lucky are we the NHS are looking after us. However, this was short lived as I then saw a post on my local FB page saying emails from covid.treatments email address were a scam. Apparently the poster works for the NHS.
I contacted 119 Test & Trace and they said they were not aware it was a scam and to contact my GP which I did. Again, my GP surgery were unable to confirm that the email was a scam.
I have come to the conclusion that it is a genuine email as it has my NHS number on it, there are no spelling mistakes and no links asking me to click on them immediately (only to click on the links if I need to, for example if my PCR test kit doesn't arrive etc) and no links asking for money.
Hope this helps.
Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas. Stay safe xx
Hi. I got an email on Monday from NHS but no pcr test kit yet. I too was impressed. All the best 🤗
I too have received the email but so far no pcr test in the post. Looks pretty genuine to me, and I too did feel rather reassured that I’ve not been ‘missed’.
No it isn't! I received my test kit by post today. The instruction booklet states, "You have received this home PCR test kit because your medical records show that you may be suitable for new treatments if you test positive for coronavirus (Covid19) using a PCR test".
I received my PCR test in the post today, this is not a scam.
What a coincidence. I was just reading your post and my test was just delivered.
