GCA and shingles

I have GCA PMR vasculitis and now have painful facial shingles. Taking ante viral tablets but I cannot get my booster jab or flu jab until I am clear. Unfortunately the shingles keep reappearing. What would be the dangers of me having my booster jab while my shingles are still active

There isn't anyone here who would be competent to answer that question, But your immune system is obviously already under stress - I really don't think it would be advisableat all. If the doctors say no I think you really have to accept it.

Hello camerashy , I had my booster and flu jabs when I was about 4 weeks in with shingles. The blisters had healed by then although I still had pain. I mentioned it at the time and was told I would be fine . I hope you feel better soon , it is very painful .
