Good news, just got my blood workup back:

Before taking 2.25mg Prednisone

Morning Basal Cortisol: 12.1 mcg/dL

Acceptable range: 4.0 - 22.0 mcg/dL

Taking 3,400 IU D3 daily

Vitamin D 25-OH, Total: 37 ng/ml

Optimal >30 ng/ml

Taking 500 mg Ca daily & 100 mcg K2-MK7

Calcium 10.1 mg/dL

Acceptable range: 8.6 - 10.3 mg/dL

Not bad at all - but that calcium is bordering questionable. Sounds as if you might get away with a bit less calcium.

suggests 40-60ng/ml for vit D because of the vagaries of the assays.

I noted that and I am going to decrease Ca supplementation by approximately 100 - 150 mg per day to around 350-400 mg.

Thinking about switching to Dr Mercola’s blend and cease the individual D3 & K2 and add about 200 mg Calcium citrate as a separate supplement.

Looking forward to getting my second DEXA scan in January.
