Harry - what dose are you on?
HI MrsNails iam on 4 my just now , had someone at door now I think I've lost the plot lol.
Generally speaking itâs better to take the dose again (and have a good day) than miss altogether & become stressed worrying wether youâve taken it or not!
Weâve all done it at one time or another!
I have a daily tablet box then l can check & be pretty sure lâve taken it or not!âŚ..
Have a cuppa, take your Meds & have 10mins to chill! đ

Maybe take half a dose now - and see how things go - if you feel great later youâll know you did - and enjoy the day - but not too much. If you feel a bit âoffâ by this afternoon youâll know you didnât and take the other half.
Buy yourself a dosette box - sort tablets out over a quiet time over the weekend - and hopefully shouldnât happen again. đ¤Ł
Thanks DorsetLady, terrible it just takes something silly to put you off your stride, going out with walking group so that will take my mind off it,I WAS starting to panic..x
Easily done or not done! Personally I would just take the dose again, better to double up than miss it which I have done in the past and it is very painful.
And until you get your dosette box, you can write M, Tu, W, etc on the foil with a sharpie.
If you get a dosette box put the tabs in the sections in their foil. Best not to pop them out. Then if you have to change your dose they are still OK to keep. Plus in the unlikely event of a child getting hold of it they will be harder to access or they are identifiable in case of emergency. My comments may not apply to you personally but may help avert an accidental poisoning for someone else.
I normally make a note on a piece of paper that I have taken my dose. (Date and how much). This helps when discussing history of dosages with my GP.Because of an unusual morning, I forgot my Pred one whole day this week (first time in three years). Took normal dose next day. Does not seem to have made much of a difference.
I needed to get a 7 day pill container, marked M - S for the days of the week. After I take my prednisone for that day, I leave the flap up. Also I have set my phone alarm to ring at 8:15 every morning to remind me.
I have 2 alarms during the day for other medications - I still manage to switch it off and not take the pill ...
I did the same thing - then I started leaving the lid up on the pill case after I take it. Now, if I walk by and see the lid down, I quickly take it - even as late as 5pm (and hasnât bothered my sleep). Iâm only on 8 mg now, but at higher dosage, I would start to feel bad by midday, and I check the pill container.
I've got 16 pills to take a day (10 prescription). I have some I have to take at breakfast, some at lunch, some at dinner, some before bed. Each has its own separate place (nightstand, bathroom, kitchen, dining table). Then it's just a matter of being a complete creature of habit - pill set 1 comes with the orange juice I have every morning, pill set 2 I take after brushing my teeth, etc.
When it comes to travelling, I just use of those little pill cases. Mine is actually not that little - 28 little compartments (7 days x breakfast, lunch, dinner & bedtime). Don't know what I'd do if was ever away for more than a week. To tell you the truth, since Covid, I've only travelled once!
Thanks for reading about my silly mixup only took someone ringing my door bell and just lost the plot, you do have a lot of meds to take I've only 5 to take, then calcium twice a day. I was a way on holiday for 4 weeks in Portugal in September and my bag was full my other half had good laugh but needs must you can't run out. Hope you'll manage to get away next year iam love the sun ,sea, food and yes the wine. You take care and keep well.
I have 9 prescription medications to take daily. I find the pill boxes invaluable for keeping a check on what I have to take and when. The boxes I use have each day of the week in a different colour and have three sections, morning, noon and night. I have two sets of boxes and make sure they are filled in advance. I also wear a Fitbit and have an alarm set for half an hour after I should have taken my pills as a reminder. For me itâs the lunchtime tablets I often forget to take.
take it again! course by the time you see this you already have. We have all been there done that! enjoy the extra boost.
