Cautiously optimistic!
I've had my third - Pfizer after my 2 AZ primary doses. I felt a bit out of sorts for 2 days but worth it.
After being on pred and MTX at the time of my 1st and 2nd, I was looking forward to this one as I'm only on 8mg pred now so I should have a much more certain response from it.
Happy to have the booster too when offered.
I've made my decision because I have contact with school age children (step daughter just getting over covid now - luckily I had an FFP2 mask on when near her)) and lots of schools at work although I'm currently refusing to go in any school right now. I feel quite vulnerable in that respect. This jab helps to feel more protected.
Are you not sure about this jab?
Had my third vax yesterday. My arm is a bit sore today and I am feeling abnormally tired this morning but otherwise OK. I'm planning a rest day today! I had my first AZ in January and this triggered PMR which came on with a bang three days later. I was on 12.5mg of Pred when I had my second AZ in March (It took about 7 weeks for the PMR to be diagnosed). I am slow tapering from 6½mg to 6mg at the moment. I'm all for getting as much protection from Covid as possible as apart from PMR I also have an immune deficiency (low IgG) plus bronchiectasis and asthma. I wonder when/if we shall be offered a 4th dose?
Hi, Lucky you, my docs have a notice up online saying don’t phone surgery, and that covid booster vaccine and flu jab won’t be until October.
