Inner Elbow Pain. Related to PMR?

Inner elbow pain. Golfer’s Elbow or…I am an avid indoorswoman so def not due to sports! Pain goes up slightly. Seems swollen. Very sore to touch

Hi stickgal you’ve really been through it to get a diagnosis. Like you, I got a very swollen and painful elbow, outer, not inner part of the joint. It was in the early months and eventually settled on its own. Same with the right knee too, came and went, not had it since.

Thanks for the reply. I tapered from 40 to 35 about a week ago and have been having hip, back and chest pain so probably need to go back to 40 and try again later.

Maybe try in 2 smaller steps ……..2.5mg to 37.5mg then same again to 35mg…

Yeah. Probably wiser. I just hate the math…lol. Doc only gave me 20’s and 10’s so trying to avoid the crumbles from cutting too much. I go back next week so will ask for some ones

Even 5mgs would do, but 2.5mg will be better.

I took 40 this am. Symptoms gone this afternoon. Gonna do a week then lower 2.5 and start again. Grrrrr

Good idea, may be frustrating but no point in being in unnecessary pain.

Hi Stickgal I have a similar problem with my left elbow which is quite painful to touch, no idea whether its part of my PMR but certainly the amount of Pred I'm on at the moment (9mg) has no effect on it at all. If it continues or gets worse I'll have a chat to the doc about it when we next speak.

Bursitis can be part of PMR although it is not usually the elbow. However - not everything can be blamed on PMR, sometimes it just is ...
