prednisone started in November 2020. began at 20 mg. down to 6 mg a week ago. however issues started again so have put myself up to 11 mg. so far so good.
with information provided by this site i asked my rheumatologist to authorize an antibody test after having had both phizer vaccines . screw ups as usual…given wrong test at first, in spite of my clarifying exactly what test i needed…but i digress… 75$ for wrong test, 80$ for correct one. i have received information this morning that i have had a strong antibody reaction as a result of the vaccine!
so thank you to one and all for keeping me abreast . as you know this site and your insight keep many of us often ahead of our own doctors.

With a bit of luck you will find that after a few days at 11 you can drop back to 7 or 7.5 and be fine. Give it a month or two and you may get away with starting the taper again.
thank you for comment. will stick to your advice for pred drop down in a few more days. just wanted to share great news about vaccine response while on pred. i feared there would be no antibodies. but there are! pfizer has done its job.
