Gca or long covid

Hi everyone, im currently on 9mg of pred from 40mg 15 months ago started but i have complete exhaustion, Breathlessness after few steps and feel like im in a lead suit, is this normal Gca-Pmr stuff of cud it be long covid. Still got spors down my arms and other places 😉 but not sure if i should contact Dr about long covid.. Probably cant do anything anyways that's why ive left it. Been like this since last year. Thanks for any advice.. Joe

Have you had Covid or think you had it? You won't have long Covid if you haven't had Covid!

But you have been complaining of feeling unwell for months as you reduce. Have you discussed it with your doctor?

Yes i had a 2 week period in may 2020 when i couldn't taste or smell anything, so pretty sure ive had it.. Think I'll call Dr see what they say.. Thanks

If it is or may be long Covid it puts a whole new complexion on things.

Hi Joe, perhaps a visit to your GP might be in order to check what is going on - to confirm if it’s long Covid or if you’ve over shot your reduction? Sometimes we blame the Pred/GCA/PMR & there could be other things going on.

Hiya, ive got all the exact symptoms of long covid including the spots which is a giveaway apparently.. So will call Dr.. But im sleeping alot now on lower dose of pred, thank God this time last year i couldn't sleep at all. 😂
