When to take steroids

More of your wisdom please. Following your advice I have managed to control my symptoms by taking 15 mg in the morning and 5 mg in the evening. This has helped with the extreme morning pains I had been experiencing. I’m now starting to taper by 1 mg every morning. I tend to feel light headed after taking the steroids. Would it be worth taking a higher dose in the evening and reducing the morning dose to try to mitigate this ?

You could try this. I think you begin to learn your own rhythm with tapering and adjusting timings. We are all pretty unique. I found that decreasing by 1 mg was too steep at 15 mgs, I did much better with a good pill cutter and reducing by half a 1 mg tablet. It is still relatively early days for you isn’t it? I didn’t begin to taper for 6 weeks, I was way too symptomatic.

I know a few people who did just that for exactly the same reason - so they slept through the wobbles. It didn't affect their sleep either.
