Leg pain and potassium

My daughter researched leg pain and discovered that lack of potassium in our diet could contribute to this problem. Evidently quite a proportion of our population don’t get enough. Since I upped my intake of fruit veg and nuts three weeks ago I do seem to have some improvement. Worth a try.

Also, Pred increases your loss of potassium. Sometimes I had to have a banana or two if my muscles got crampy. Potassium is best got through diet because it is easy to over do supplements and is just as unwanted in too great an amount. Magnesium is another one that is lost more easily with Pred and needs a bit of a boost and can be supplemented. Some people prefer a bath of Epsom salts instead of a pill.
