Hi all, always had some dizzness but today it really bad and neck is stiff as well, went up from 13 to 14 today cause of yhe results of my hip x-ray showing inflammation but since hip pain started to get worse I've been sitting on the edge of sofa cause it was easier to get up so could this be causing my dizziness to be worse today?

Dizzness/lightheaded
I'm suffering from time to time too the feeling of being lightheaded. I'm currently taking 8 mg of Pred. 1st June I'll be trying 7.5mg....still going very slowly. It does pass.
Did you take the Alendronic Acid in the end? You had your second COVID jab 2 weeks ago too. Everything we do is evidence in the symptom picture and can sometimes be side effects or even osteoarthritis. I have cervical Spondylosis and get neck pain and dizziness at times. I wonder if another 1 mg of Pred taking you back to 15 mgs would do the trick? Or even the 5 mgs extra for a week to 10 days and straight back to 14 mgs to see if this heads off a threatening flare? Both actions have rescued me in past years. You have to become a bit of a detective eg trace your activities back for instance. Even changing your movements to save your hips could cause upper spine, referred symptoms. I hope it passes off soon. A full body MRI could be useful. These scans seem to have become more available in my area. I’ve got a little queue of investigations coming up.
Yes did take as for 3 wks but got to stop them now and take risedronate 5mg daily instead which I've just picked up from chemist as a precaution cause dexa scan has a long waiting list due to covid. Aa can cause vertigo and with dizziness I got to stop taking them.
Have you spoken to your GP? (Yes, I know that isn't easy!) If you have neck problems then that could be contributing to the dizziness but I'm not sure increasing the pred will help if it is a neck muscle problem.
