Had blood taken at 11,30 at gp surgery. My rheumatologist phoned at 6.30 tonight. Inflammation in normal range. Keeping me on 60mg pred for at least another week as I still have discomfort on left side of face.

Just to add that I can’t fault the care I’m being given

Well I guess that the tissue changes that need to occur to get the blood circulation back to normal may lag behind the inflammatory markers. Hang in there. Sounds like they are being cautious which is good.

Sounds a reasonable response from Rheumy, let’s hope things improve during the next week .

Thank you . Me too! Think she’s concerned the discomfort on the left may be something else bu already seen by ENT and they couldn’t find anything. Hoping 60mg may mop up any left over inflammation
